Welcome to the communities!

If you want code for your data, you must present your data in usable form (data step with datalines, posted in a code box).

About 300 data are grouped by two character variables, which must recode to numerical (for example two nominal values 1 and 2) to run statistical analysis. I would be very grateful if anyone could advise me how to write syntax in SAS programming.

Thanks

Most SAS procedures can work with character variables, and so for most analyses, SAS does not require you to change character variables into numeric simply to run statistical analyses.

So what analysis are you planning on doing?
