What kind of SAS setup do you use?

University Edition

On Demand for Academics

Local, single computer

Client/Server with a remote server

Which interface do you use? Enterprise Guide, SAS Studio, or native Display Manager?

You can create an Import task for every Excel file; the wizard will guide you through this.

Or you copy all your Excel files to the SAS server (either by using the Copy Files task, or an external utility like WinSCP), and write code that assigns a library for every Excel file, after which you can use DICTIONARY.TABLES and DICTIONARY.COLUMNS to extract the metadata.
