Hello,

I was trying to do one of the chapter homework problems for the book mentioned above and the website listed for the datasets is support.sas.com/cody

There I was able to find my book and download the zip file for the book. It seems as if there isn't the file Colleges dataset though. This is the only dataset that is used in the chapter test so it is impossible to practice. I know that this is more so a question for the publisher but I was unable to contact anyone from SAS directly since it is the weekend.

I was just wondering if anyone had the dataset or if they experienced the same problem. This is the link for the zipfile https://support.sas.com/downloads/package.htm?pid=2238

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Hi:
When I open the zip file, I note the Create_Datasets.sas program. Did you run that program? Inside the program, I see that LEARN.COLLEGE (not COLLEGES) is being created by the program from a DO loop that generates these variables:
Numeric variables: ClassRank GPA
Character variables: Gender Scholarship SchoolSize StudentID

Here's what I see inside the program (a partial screen shot of the code that creates LEARN.COLLEGE😞

Is that the data set you were looking for?? If so, I recommend that you run the Create_Datasets.sas program.

Hope this helps,

Cynthia
