What are the best courses/resources for someone learning SAS who absolutely zero coding or data expe

I am planning on training my employee to learn some very [VERY] basic SAS. They have absolutely no coding or data experience. For example, I think any lesson would need to start by explaining what records/rows/observations are, and what fields/columns/variables are. Like that level.

I know SAS has some very good free online courses, however I am wondering if there are any resources for learning that are intended for someone who is starting truly from nothing. In the case of my employee, I think hands on examples would be important. Are there any good free or online resources that walk through someone who is a total novice to being able to do things like establishing a libname, or doing the most basic of tasks in a data step?

Free lessons are great foundations tools, especially SAS Programming 1: Essentials

They explain the basics step by step.

I would also recommend some books such as the following guide, as it really explains how SAS "works", and provides a lot of examples and practical scenarios : SAS Certified Specialist Prep Guide: Base Programming Using SAS 9.4

The SAS community is also a great resource

As far as I know SAS® Programming 1: Essentials is meant for absolute beginners.

Or even though not free also consider below:

If you do not plan to write SAS programs and you prefer a point-and-click interface, you should attend the SAS® Enterprise Guide® 1: Querying and Reporting course.

... only going for free training is not always cheaper taking salaries, productivity gains and employee satisfaction into account....
