SAS Studio no longer loads from the Oracle VM VirtualBox

Yesterday, I was prompted to download and install a later version of Virtual Box (6.0.16-135674-win). The Virtual Box worked earlier today. However, now it does not provide access to online SAS Studio. It gives this error message:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine SAS University Edition.

The VM session was closed before any attempt to power it on.

Result Code:	E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component:	SessionMachine
Interface:	ISession {c0447716-ff5a-4795-b57a-ecd5fffa18a4}

Restarting the computer did not solve the problem.

What is going on? What should I do?

Delete this version of Oracle Virtual Box and download the previous version and install that again. Oracle VB is an Open Source application, and can be buggy at times when its released and upgrades have caused issues for SAS UE before.

My VirtualBox on the Mac has been pestering me for quite some time to upgrade, but I won't. Never change a running system, unless security is concerned (not an argument for a private system that is not open to the internet and where only one VM is installed). I am also still waiting with the upgrade to Catalina, as that has caused lots of issues with 3rd party software.

Switch back to the previous version of VirtualBox.

I uninstalled Oracle Virtual Box 6.0 and installed version 5.2. The same error message with a different interface #. I then uninstalled version 5.2 and installed 6.1. The same error message.

What next?

Did you redownload the image as well?

How do I download the image? Does the image get installed somewhere? I did contact SAS Tech support.
