A prescribed environment is an out-of-the-box installation in SAS Fraud Management. It captures industry best practices into a set of default settings and is provided as a recommendation. You might use this prescribed environment as a baseline during your SAS Fraud Management implementation.

Several options and settings are provided with the payments “package” – the set of business features included. Payments package features cover the following areas:

Business units, groups and teams

Multi-organizational structure

Alert types

Strategies and queues

Templates

Analyst grid

Block codes

Nearly all settings for these areas can be modified by business users after implementation. To learn more about the settings and how to modify them, read this technical paper. A similar technical paper exists for the cards package and will be discussed in a future post.
