Forecasting for Desktop - Reporting Cababilites and Add In for Excel

Hello,

I would like to as whether the SAS add in for Microsoft Excel, as described in the white paper "Turbo Charging Spreadsheets", is available in SAS Forecasting for Desktop product (or just in Forecast Server). Also whether the built in reports (stored processes) for exporting output to pds, csv, pdf, xml etc that are available in Forecast Server are also available in Forecasting for Desktop.

Finally, as i know, in Forecast Server the user has the ability to create customized reports through stored processes. Is this feature also available in Forecasting for Desktop?

Hello Andreas -

Starting with SAS Forecast Server 13.1 (current production release) you will be able to access the forecasting tasks in MS Excel without any additional license.

The stored process capability is not available in SAS Forecasting for Desktop.

Hello Udo,

Thank you very much for your answer. So i guess no reports will be available in the menu Tools -- > Reports and Stroed Processes (neither built in nor custom) and i guess that the only way to export staff (without touching SAS data sets) is from the copy button in the data table of the forecasting view.
