Using SAS Link analysis (with time_id) component for sequence , I am able to derive the best rules and generate the recommendation based on the path however the limitation I am facing is unable to change the chain length (it is by default 2) and not getting rules like (product1 & product2->product3) refer attachment.

Re: Link Analysis Node in SAS E-Miner

The recommendation option in the Link Analysis node can only produce one-step recommendations (one item on the left-hand side and one item on the right-hand side). For more extensive rules, you would need to see the Association node but you will need to do some work to identify the best recommendation. The added complexity of having to resolve multiple possible rules limits what you are able to do from a recommendation standpoint since there is no way to incorporate any potential value to each (e.g. observed relative frequency of a rule multiplied by the estimated value of converting on the recommendation).

Hope this helps!
