Beginner Question: Creating Segment / Variable

Hi everyone,

I have just used SAS EM 14.2 to segments a variable into 4 equal segments (quartiles) by doing the following:

- Using a Transform variables node >>>variables property >>> Changing METHOD to Quantile

This should produce four equal segments for the variable but it produces the unequal segments shown on the image below.

What can I do to make it produce four equal segments. (no other property adjustments have been made apart from the step outlined above)

Do you have missing values or values that are clustered together so that they could not be split easily (ie lots of rows with the same value)?
