Query by Date and time

HI All,

I am doing a query on date and it doesn't seem like working, can anyone help please.

I have values in 10JUL13:13:59:00 format and the following code is not excluding this values before Aug 01, 2013.

data want;

set have;

where Mydate>"01Aug2013"d;

run;

try this, your sign is backwards and you only want to pull the date, not the date and time:

where datepart(mydate)<'01Aug2013'd;
