topic Certificate Authentication using DataFlux Management Studio in SAS Data Management

Does DataFlux Management Studio support making web service calls using client certificate authentication? Note, I'm not referring to Management Server's ability to generate web services. I want to call an external web service that uses certificate authentication. Does DataFlux support this through either the HTTP request node or the Web service node? The external web service that I want to call currently supports REST so it would be better to do this using the HTTP request node from what I understand. Can anyone provide any example of a job that uses an HTTP request where certificate authentication is configured?

Thank you,

In order to make PROC HTTP calls by using the HTTPS protocol, you must configure a trust source that contains the certificate of the service to be trusted. After you have done this, you can specify that it be used as follows by editing app.cfg in the etc directory of your DataFlux installation (all on one line):

java/command = /path/to/java.exe - Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=/path/to/.keystore -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStorePassword=trustStorePassword

This does work. I had contacted tech support initially after I had posted this, and they made the same recommendation about having the truststore/keystore settings in the app. cfg. I did run into other issues about trying to submit an attachment using the multi-form data content type further down the line, but I was able to get past the authentication handshake using the suggested app.cfg setting.
