Importing Triple S files into SAS

Is there a way to import TRIPLE S files into SAS easily?

(without having to create the xml map and generating code to read in the data file)

I've looked on-line and the only references were to use JMP to do it.

If your source data is in XML format then you need to create the map and then you can read it in via XML libname engine.

Use the XML Mapper to generate the code. http://support.sas.com/downloads/package.htm?pid=713

If you don't have an XML with all the possible elements then ideally use an XSD for creating the map.

Since their website seems to be off line, not sure if any one can help you, unless you can post the format defintion.

It does look like STAT/Transfer can convert to/from that format.

Thanks Patrick, that's what I was a afraid of. I have no probems generating the map from the xml but the end user isn't as savy, so I was hoping there was a "wizard" type solution that I wasn't aware of, so I don't get sucked down the forever supporting role on this one. In JMP there is an option in the import menu for these. So it is possible,
