Hi,

Unlike some other SAS applications, Data Management Studio does not generate code on the back-end. When you design a job in Data Management Studio, you are creating an XML-based set of instructions that will be interpreted and processed by the underlying data management engine. Data is effectively streamed through the engine (rather than landed in between steps in your job) and the transformations you designed in the job will be applied to the data during this process. If you want to make changes to the logic of your job, this has to be done through Data Management Studio.

Ron
