Hello:

ANyone implemented SAS Share in a BI environment? expecifically , in an environment where UNIX is where SAS is and there is AD authantication for SAS users. SAS Share sounds great for example, if we wanted to combine it with CDC and load data from source to target constantly during the day as it wold not lock the table. But I wander the cons? anybody could share their experience .

Thanks,

jp

One drawback of SAS/SHARE is that it a single threaded server, and just handles Base SAS tabels (and views).

It works well, if your data is quite small. So if you have large tables, I suggest a different architecture.

/Linus
