I'd suggest opening a case with SAS Technical Support for this issue.

Thanks,
Floating point exception error message

Hello,

I'm trying to convert annual data to monthly data. The data is from Compustat and is cross sectional time-series data.

After entering:

proc expand data=Sasuser.Econ10 out=monthly from=year to=month;
convert sich ni fyear at lt che dltt csho ppegt rect recd revt ;
run;

I receive the error message- Floating point exception.

I'm wondering if this error message is due to system capabilties or some kind of error in one of the variables in the dataset. I'm running SAS 9.2 in a windows operating environment.

Additional info: proc means reveals 5 obs are missing; I've rounded the variables(just the numeric) and tried converting- got the same error message.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks.
