The data is from Compustat and is cross sectional time-series data. <BR /> <BR /> After entering:<BR /> <BR /> proc expand data=Sasuser.Econ10 out=monthly from=year to=month;<BR /> convert sich ni fyear at lt che dltt csho ppegt rect recd revt ;<BR /> run;<BR /> <BR /> I receive the error message- Floating point exception.<BR /> <BR /> I'm wondering if this error message is due to system capabilties or some kind of error in one of the variables in the dataset. I'm running SAS 9.2 in a windows operating environment. <BR /> <BR /> Additional info: proc means reveals 5 obs are missing; I've rounded the variables(just the numeric) and tried converting- got the same error message.<BR /> <BR /> Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
