Are there any alternative solutions that I can import job from SAS DI 4.2 back to SAS DI 3.4?

Currently, I have 2 SAS Server which are

(1) SAS 9.1.3 with SAS DI 3.4

(2) SAS 9.2 with SAS DI 4.2

I have plan to upgrade the no. (1) to be (2) but not very soon. However, I really need to import job from SAS DI 4.2 back to DI 3.4 right now. (but the import/export doesn't support backward compatibility). Please help.

Without having tried myself, I think it's safe to say that there are no backward compatibility between DI Studio versions. And between 3.4 and 4.2, there are a lot of differences in the metadata structure.

It seems odd that you don't try to synchronise upgrades to the different environments...?
