SAS DI 4.2 hangs frequently

I am using very old version of SAS DI 4.2.

DI hangs very frequently on my machine. Whenever I check the memory usage, it is very high. Can you suggest how to resolve it?

I can recall that there were some memory issues in the older versions. Don't think that there is a silver bullet to fix it, except for upgrading to a later release.

How large memory do you have in your PC, and what is the memory usage of DIS?

Do any other developers experiencing the same issues?

Is it connected to working with particular jobs?

Things to consider:

Build small jobs
Save/close jobs frequently
Restart the DI client now and then
Purge the metadata repository (including your project)
Check for messages in the DI Studio and metadata server log files

In the end, SAS tech support might be your best shot for help.
