topic virtual lab- SASVisualAnalyticsHub in SAS Academy for Data Science

Hi, I knew this topic had been discussed many times before, but when I checked out all posts and comments, I still don't know how to do it. Do I need to sign up AWS first? how to connect SAS e-learning course to AWS? I am still so confused. I will appreciate if someone can help me out. it would be the best if instruction step by step. Thank you

Hi:
I have already posted screen shots in the OTHER posting you did on the same subject: https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Academy-for-Data-Science/Virtual-Lab-recommendations/m-p/527557#M235

My suggestion is that you review my posting from 2 hours ago in the other forum post.

Then, go to your My Training page https://support.sas.com/edu/viewmyelearn.html , log onto your SAS Profile. In your list of e-learning material that's available, you should see your package title. It will either be SAS Academy for Data Science: SAS Certified Big Data Professional or SAS Academy for Data Science: SAS Certified Advanced Analytics Professional or SAS Academy for Data Science: SAS Certified Data Scientist -- depending on the package you purchased. I don't know what that was, but it should be obvious once you log onto your My Training page.

Once you are on your My Training page and you see your item, you have to click on the title -- it's a link and will take you to our Virtual Learning Environment window, where you will see multiple courses in your modules (again, dependng on your package).

For students who take Programming 1 or Programming 2, they are stand-alone classes and when they click on a course title from their My Training page, they go straight into the course.

However, the SAS Academy for Data Science levels are an e-learning collection of multiple courses. So you have to pick your module in the VLE, then pick your course.

You make a reservation in the Virtual Lab Reservation System pane that is INSIDE the Virtual Learning Environment for your module of choice.

Please review the screen shots in my other post and please read the documentation that is INSIDE the VLE.

Cynthia

Hi:
Please remember to read the Required Setup instructions about starting the LASR server and loading the required tables, or else you will get error messages about the data not being available.
