topic Change Tab display in code boxes in All Things Community

Would it be possible to reduce the indent provided by, I am guessing, tab characters in code pasted.

We see messages with multiple indents that make the code "line" way larger than needed requiring scrolling a box right and left to read some submitted code.

An example occurs in this message: https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Programming/Do-loop-inside-Macro-not-working/m-p/509065

If that actually is an 8 character indent per TAB character if the forum display used 3 or 4 then the code readability might go way up.

Code box needs an update in general. Sometimes line feeds are not respected, have to copy out to notepad then back again and such like. Code from from Unix may not display properly, though does in Notepad++. Copy paste doesn't work in code area, if you copy one line of code from a previous code window, then another and paste each into one code window, it separates out into two blocks. E.g.

abc
def

abc

def - copied from first, and pasted after abc in the above code window creates this new code window.

Some sort of spell check would be nice as well.
