I am trying to get information regarding the SAS® Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS®9 certification exam (A00-212), if a candidate pass SAS Certified Specialist: Base Programming Using SAS 9.4 (new exam code:A00-231) can the candidate appear for the SAS® Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS®9 certification exam (A00-212 - I am aware this exam will be discontinued from september 30th 2019) is he / she eligible ??

or the candidate have to appear only for SAS Certified Professional: Advanced Programming Using SAS 9.4.

Need valuable information.

Yes. We have made the prerequisites interchangeable. The old base programmer will suffice as a prerequisite for the new Advanced Programming Professional, and the new Base Programming Specialist will suffice as a prerequisite for the old advanced programmer.
