Go to the Base SAS certification page.

It lists the topics (in detail) and what courses you need to take for each certification.

http://support.sas.com/training/us/catalog.pdf

https://www.sas.com/en_us/certification/exam-content-guides/base-programming.html

I highly recommend the Certification Guide as a resource. It's also great in the future as a quick reference guide.

Thanks for the response !!

I have access to programming 1 and 2 . So certification guide on top of that would be enough right ?

I am quite new to SAS. For how long i should study to appear for exam ?

I have had exposure to other programming languages like r , python etc.

Thanks

Pa4 - My background was similar to yours. I knew other languages, but not SAS. Here are a couple blog posts that I wrote (seven years ago?! ....time flies....) about my preparation experience.

http://blogs.sas.com/content/sastraining/2010/07/01/zero-to-sas-certified-base-programmer-in-3-months-part-1/

http://blogs.sas.com/content/sastraining/2010/07/22/zero-to-sas-certified-base-programmer-in-3-months-part-ii/

Good luck with your prep.
