No training on Report Procedure in SAS Preparation Guide or SAS Essentials Training

Should I be prepared to answer questions related to the Report procedure (Proc Report) on the SAS Base 2017 Exam. If so, why is there not a section for Proc Report in the the Base SAS Online Training or in the SAS Preparation Guide?

PROC REPORT isn't listed on the topics covered for Base Certification.

The questions on the Base Programmer certification exam come from Programming 1 and Programming 2 classes. PROC REPORT is NOT covered in either of those classes.

expires March 31, 2018

SAS(R) Programming 2: Data Manipulation Techniques

I was unable to locate a section of Proc Report.

Yes, as I explained, there is NO coverage of PROC REPORT in Programming 1 or Programming 2. Therefore, there is NO coverage of PROC REPORT on the Base Programmer certification exam.

Point of clarification: The training doesn't define the exam content, only the exam objectives/content guide does. The link Reeza provided originally (https://www.sas.com/en_us/certification/exam-content-guides/base-programming.html) is the correct justification to say that PROC REPORT is not part of the Base exam. Agreed that it not being in PRG1 and PRG2 also adds additional evidence (since PRG1 and PRG2 are the training for Base Certification). It's a big point of emphasis for those of us on the cert team here at SAS: Always look at the exam objectives listed in the content guide.
