Please forgive me for this question but I need to get clarification on a matter.

Annually in December for planning, I visit SAS & JMP sites for updates on SAS Certifications.

I noticed this cert is ending next year:

I have two questions here:

1. Why was this cert never listed on the credential tile?

2. Is this certification the same as the Predictive Modeler using SAS Enterprise Miner 14, https://www.sas.com/en_us/certification/credentials/advanced-analytics/predictive-modeler-14.html

3. I know the numbers are different for the exams but I had to ask. I wish the wording was better between these two certs. Finally, what area above should this certification go under?

4. Are there exams for these two areas?

1) The Advanced Predictive Modeling credential is a subcomponent of the Advanced Analytics Professional, which is listed under the Data Science Section. I think this answers your third question too.

2) Advanced Predictive Modeling is not the same as the Predictive Modeling Using Enterprise Miner. They are different credentials.

It's not even listed under data science...

This isn't a knock on you but I built my spreadsheet back in August and then I checked back today to confirm.

Is it fair to cancel/end a certification that wasn't properly rolled out?

Click into "SAS Certified Advanced Analytics Professional Using SAS 9" and that is where the Advanced Predictive Modeling is listed. The navigation headings here have a limited number of spaces in the web software, so we can't list all of the credentials at the top level. Sorry about that. We did some rearranging this year as new credentials were introduced. As compared to last year at this time, the "Data Science" heading didn't exist at all, and the credentials that you are mentioning here were listed under the "Advanced Analytics" heading. The "Advanced Analytics Professional" and its subcomponents ('Advanced Predictive Modeling' and 'Text Analytics, Time Series, Experimentation, and Optimization') have been around since 2016.

I know that the Big Data Certification has those sub component types (from experience) but I'll go back there and take a look at the new ones when I'm less busy. I'll make the time and re-read everything. Thanks.
