SAS 9.4 Programming Fundamentals Exam

I'm just starting to learn SAS programming, and I'm struggling with understanding how to use arrays effectively. Can anyone provide a simple example or share some tips on how to use arrays in SAS for data manipulation and analysis? Any beginner-friendly resources or tutorials would be greatly appreciated!

My impression is, that arrays aren't covered by this exam.

First, @MarkusWeick is totally correct - Arrays aren't tested until the Advanced Programming Professional A00-232 exam. If you are seeing references to it being part of Base, run away (quickly!) from whatever source you are looking at - it is out of date by something like 5 years. Head to SAS Global Certification | SAS for accurate information.

That being said, if you are just interested in SAS arrays (and you should be, they are cool, but a bit weird relative to other programming languages. Maybe not the place to start your SAS learning) - Papers from SAS conferences and user group meeting are an excellent reference. -

Hello all, I am registering for the programming fundamentals exam, and I want to ask if there are any resources I could learn for free for the exam apart from those on the SAS for Students platform. Are there also any practice questions I could use? I have completed the SAS Programming 1 Essentials course and the practice questions for the exam made available by SAS.
