Regarding base sas certification

I am preparing for the base sas performance based certification exam. I am pretty much ok with the topics on the exam guide. But I want to do more practice on programming as there is a time limit. Can anybody suggest where can I find the practice data and programming questions for practice? And Is there any possibility of getting questions from any books in the real exam?

This forum in the Programming section is full of examples. Including very poorly worded ones, which might be good preparation for a test.

If you stick to the ones with a marked accepted solution then you have at least one "answer" that may apply. The green check marks you see in the margin indicate solutions.

Hopefully someone will come along with something more specific, but here's an idea: Try solving some of the problems/questions here on the Community, if they are of the subject matter covered by the Base certification. Don't necessarily try to be the person who gets credit for the solution; it's going to be tough to compete with the Super Users, some of who are incredibly fast and incredibly knowledgeable. Rather, when something appears to be related to the subjects in the Base certification, see if you can solve it. I use some of the problems posted here to a) learn new techniques from other users and b) to drill myself so that I can be faster with my day to day SAS tasks.

If you have not already taken the free practice exam that we offer, I would highly recommend working through it. Here is a link: Go to: https://www.sas.com/en_us/certification/credentials/foundation-tools/base-programming-specialist.html

Under Training and Exam Preparation, look under Practice Exams and there is a link to the practice exam. You must have a SAS profile but it's easy to set that up.

A few notes:

- You should be aware of the following differences between the practice exam and the certification exam:
  
  For the practice exam, you will provide your own access to SAS software. For the certification exam, SAS software is provided as part of the exam.
  
  For the practice exam, the exam and SAS Software will be accessed separately. The practice exam will be in a browser window separate from SAS. For the certification exam, SAS is accessed side-by-side with the exam questions. The windows can be resized to allow more space for SAS or the exam questions. Have a peek at Mark Steven's blog post "Six tips to prepare for SAS programming certifications". There are lots of good resources there. In addition to the free sample questions and practice exam, the SAS Certification Prep Guide has lots of quiz questions to test your understanding. The section quizzes in the free SAS Programming 1 e-learning course are another good source of practice questions. There are lots of quizzes available for free at SASensi too. May the SAS be with you in your certification quest!
