topic Accessing a scality bucket via sas in Architecture

Hi,

I need to access a Scality bucket via SAS (e.g. connect SAS to the Scality API, view the files in the bucket and then choose the ones I want to import). I have a user name, secret access and secret access key to access the api. I've found a code to create a libname with the s3 option, but I'm under the impression that this requires prior configuration with AWS? Can anyone confirm that going through AWS is the only solution please ?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Oceane

It looks like in the S3 configuration file you can specify a custom region that points to an alternate URL. See the "defining custom regions" in the doc below.

PROC S3 Configuration File
https://go.documentation.sas.com/doc/en/pgmsascdc/9.4_3.5/proc/n0qozoux9a0633n1du4xy40vksf5.htm#n0i68s2pkemi41n120l9c9qmxse1
