SAS Foundation 9.4 Security Okta Authentication

We have on-prem 9.4 Foundation and we would like to move to the cloud. We currently use Okta to authenticate our other application through SSO.

We have enterprise guide local clients who need to authenticate to SAS.

Right now we use PAM through IPA however in the cloud we want to avoid a local LDAP and get away from the IPA.

Is there a way to connect Okta either by SAML or OAuth/OpenID Connect to the SAS Metadata and Object Spawner for Authentication through SSO?

Good question!
As far as I am aware, there is no such an option in SAS 9.4, except for the middle-tier (Web applications, such as SAS Studio). Definitely not available for SAS EG or Foundation.

It is available for the new generation of SAS, SAS Viya.
