SAS EG connection to SAP HANA Data Models

I am looking to see if it is possible to set up a connection with our SAS EG environment and our SAP HANA live data. We currently link to data table views. We are testing out a new connection directly to the SAP HANA data "models" and cannot get them to show up in the SAS EG library like the tables would. We tested the connection and if we point to a table schema, we can see those but not the schema were we store the models.

Server OS = Server 2012 R2

SAS Version 9.4

What SAS/ACCESS product are you using? You will most likely only get "full functionality" if you use SAS/ACCESS to SAP HANNA.

Yes we are looking into SAS\Access possibly as so far the data is just not currently showing up in SAS EG - checking with the SAS techs.

@cbrotz - To see what products you have installed and licensed on your SAS server via EG, in the Server list window right click, select Properties, select the Software tab then press the View SAS Server Products button.

That is really helpful. It looks like we have SAS/ACCESS ODBC and OLEDB. So I wonder why we cannot see the views. I have another ticket in with a SAS tech.

ODBC and OLEDB are generic interfaces to any database with the appropriate drivers. It is not surprising that they may not work with specialist SAP HANA interfaces.
