SAS Viya can be installed on-prem ?

Dear Team,

We are attempting to explore SAS Viya.

Wanted to check if SAS Viya can be installed on-prem with our current data model and then we can plan for cloud data migration

( or )

is cloud mandatory to configure right from the start ?

It depends on your version of Viya. For Viya 3.x, yes. For Viya 4 aka Viya 202x.x, the latest version, an on-premise version is planned for later in 2021.

Personally I suggest you wait for the Viya 4 on-premise version as there is no point starting out with a non-current Viya version.
