How to set up Multiple AD authentication on Viya

Hi SAS experts,

We all know that we can use LDAP / AD authentication in Viya . it's really convenient and easy to manage the permission for our users.

For us , we have multiple AD in our company. Is there any possible to set up the multiple AD for authentication on Viya?

That is possible if you are performing a multi-tenant deployment: Set Up Accounts for Multi-tenant Deployments: Separate LDAP Server per Tenant.

That means that you can use multiple LDAP servers only if you have a multi-tenant environment. Multi-tenant environment though should be enabled during the initial deployment.

Got it. Since we have finished the initial deployment and used for several months , Is that possible we use LDAP Proxy instead of re-deployment?

What an old post, isn’t it? 🙂
Same question, but for a DRP: how should it be handled? I read that we can specify multiple hosts using a ‘,’ separator in the auth LDAP host field. Is this a good practice?

Viya is only supported using a single LDAP server for identity provisioning (multi-tenancy aside). If you need to use multiple LDAP servers you would need to set up some sort of LDAP proxy so Viya only needs to be provided one LDAP server hostname.
