There are lots of exciting things happening this week at SAS Global Forum 2016, not the least of which includes an Opening Session announcement about the new, modern platform: SAS Viya! This open development platform addresses all analytic questions – from small to large – and is built to run on the cloud, or wherever needed.

Coming soon, you'll see more details about new products running on SAS Viya. If you're interested in machine learning, or in building cloud-enabled apps, you're going to want to pay close attention! Anna, is there a published release roadmap? There were a few dates mention by Dr. Goodnight.

Hi VasilijNevlev,

Indeed, Dr. Goodnight mentioned two dates:

-In 30 days, products running on SAS Viya will be available in an early adopter phase.

-In Sept., products will be generally available.

For ease of (re)viewing, the segment of the Opening Session where Jim Goodnight and Oliver Schabenberger announce SAS Viya is available on the event live stream page.
