&lt;P&gt;I'm trying to connect to Hadoop Hive using a new connection, but I encountered an error.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#FF0000"&gt;Client unable to establish connection. System error: Connection refused&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;FONT color="#FF0000"&gt;Function failed.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;FONT color="#FF0000"&gt;The action stopped due to errors.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If anyone has experienced a similar problem, could you please help me resolve this issue?&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I agree, you might need SAS Technical Support for this. The only thing I can suggest for now:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- Do have your admins to check if the requirements are properly configured: &lt;A href="https://documentation.sas.com/doc/en/itopscdc/v_057/itopssr/p03lkog7sche30n16nz48rhqe2ka.htm" target="_blank"&gt;https://documentation.sas.com/doc/en/itopscdc/v_057/itopssr/p03lkog7sche30n16nz48rhqe2ka.htm&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- when they are 100% they are properly set, they can a) chech the driver connection without SAS and b) check the logs in the pods</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Based on my experience in similar scenarios, the first thing I would do is to check if there is any Firewall rule that is blocking the connection.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P data-pm-slice="0 0 []"&gt;Thank you for your replies. I forgot to add an update: the problem was that the Hive driver was down, and SAS Viya was unable to connect to it because of that.&lt;/P&gt;
