    <description>1. The Viya container images are Linux-based, this is not configurable.&lt;BR /&gt;2. You would not be able to mount your desktop drives into an AWS EKS cluster, though Viya does support uploading files from your desktop into Viya. Mounts into the cluster must be defined in the cluster configuration and are limited to Kubernetes supported mount types. Volume mounts supported by Kuberentes can be found here:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/storage/volumes/" target="_blank"&gt;https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/storage/volumes/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For a windows share I think you would need to mount it to the underlying nodes and then use a local or hostPath volume to bring that into the container. AWS support may have a better idea of what options they have available for you.</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello&lt;BR /&gt;I have some basic question on SAS Viya 4 on AWS. I would appreciate if somebody can enlighten me about them.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1.What is the OS in the container -Windows or Linux or to be precise can we have Windows OS?&lt;BR /&gt;2.Can we mount the local windows drive onto the container on AWS?&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks in anticipation.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
