Comments (as per the comments manager) can be added regardless of the status of the alert, this included when the alert is closed. The user (group) must be given the Edit comments capability under Permissions in the administration console. Comments can not be edited. A feature request currently being considered to allow for editing of comments by the comment author. ... View more

These dates are not driving the next review date. In AML 8 on Viya 3.5  the cases list does only allow for sorting by the end user, not for filtering.  The solution administrator can build in filters in the list which apply collectively to the entire user group. An example of this is the My Cases vs Open Cases vs Closed Cases lists that come pre-configured with SAS Anti-Money Laundering.   Dynamic filtering through facets is available on AML on Viya 4.  ... There is an upgrade path, not a migration (upgrade-in-place) path and that is the reason why you do not find anything in the product documentation (apart from the legacy items feature, see below). This means that modernizing from AML 7 to AML on Viya 4 is a rebuild, requiring consultancy effort, the degree of which depends on a number of factors, such as the level of expertise and previous experience by the consultancy team, the proficiency of consultants in (further) configuring AML and Visual Investigator on Viya 4, the the level of customizations that need to be retained for the customers and the level of these being a fit for AML7 VI on Viya 4.   AML 8.3 on Viya 3.5 introduced the legacy items feature facilitating the migration of so-called legacy objects and making AML 7.1 database objects available as read-only objects in AML on Viya 3.5, whilst preserving the links with other objects. In scope of this feature are legacy alerts,  risk factors, cases, cdd reviews, exernal parties, regulatory reports, e-files and scenarios. Out of scope are: replicated transactions, comments and scenarios.   We are planning for porting over this feature to AML on Viya 4, but are currently prioritizing other new features and there is no confirmed target delivery timeline for these. What is it that you are trying to achieve? It looks like your question is specific to SAS Environment Manager, not SAS Anti-Money Laundering as suggested in the title. If no one on this Fraud, AML and Security Intelligence forum answers the question, you might have better success with posting it on a generic Viya or Data Integration forum.   The video does not show an AML specific configuration and, from my understanding, the resources tab is not visible for an out-of-the-box AML deployment.    Having looked at the video, and by no means being an expert myself in environment manager, it seems that the resource tab only is visible ones resources are loaded/registered. SAS AML 8.3 supports the US FINCEN SAR90 report and the custom configuration of regulatory reports. We do not have migration tooling that automates the migration of any custom configured reports, so these will need to be reconfigured in SAS AML 8.3. Legacy reports and e-files from older SAS AML versions can be made available as read-only objects in SAS AML 8.3.   Training materials are available for SAS consultants and partner consultants, and to a limit degree end users and IT support staff. Alert generation in AML and CDD 8.3 is governed by the VI 10.8 Scenario Admin. Scenario flows generate alerting events, that role up into alerts. There is typically only one alert per actionable entity per Domain. The flow, including the summary scenario, will only create an alert if the alerts does not already exists and conditions stipulated in the flow are met. If an alert already exists, it is more a question if the alert gets re-activated, i.e. a new alert version being created.   There are few limitations to the logic one can include in the summary scenario. SAS AML 8.x / VI 10.8 does not have a feature where you you upload/append records in bulk to internal entities through a pre-built user interface. The recommendation is to do so manually, using the front end investigator UI, although we acknowledge this can be cumbersome for bulk data uploads.   Whilst it is possible to write your scripts that directly write into the database schema's and tables, this is not recommended. If you do so, please consider the history and audit aspects of the data.   It should be possible to use the API for internal entity object creation and changes. SAS Professional Services should be able to help you out in this regard. For those who have access to the internal SAS pages, see Visual Investigator REST API – Visual Investigator API Reference (sas.com)   Specifically with regard to your question around the ID, in my experience it does not matter and you can use your own mechanism to define the key, as long as you make sure these values are unique.
