Visual Analytics report showing results for the latest World Happiness Report (WHR) 2020. The report compiled data for over 150 countries around the globe based on overall life satisfaction, healthy life expectancy, corruption, generosity and ability to make life choices freely. This Pursuit of Happyness (get it, like the movie?) visualization depicts the data:
The left hand side shows the complete country ranking grouped by continent along with some additional analysis / data visualizations for each group of countries to the right. Most rankings aren't too surprising in my opinion given stronger economic wealth or social benefits. The Nordic regions continue to lead the charts with Finland being ranked first, 3rd time in a row.

Enjoy!
Lovely designed report - as always Falko! I do like how you've used the happy yellow colour too.
I long to visit the happy Nordic countries again!!!
Yep - we clearly have to talk to our friends in the Nordic countries and see what they are doing differently. Australia has been dropping 3 times in a row - now at place 12 - even though we have clearly more sunshine 🤔
Great work Falko - I do enjoy the parallel coordinates plot 😁
its amazing how a seemingly abstract topic like the state of human mind can be brought to life with data. Though ...hmmm..am stumped how to change colors in parallel coordinates @FalkoSchulz
@govdata_guy , yeah that is indeed not as straight forward. I changed the report level fill-colors instead (open options panel and select the report in the top drop down box). The parallel coordinates will inherit those colors. Not sure why one can't change colors on object level yet. Hope this helps. Falko
