How to migrate SAS 9.4 on prem deployed Jobs to AWS Cloud

Hello Everyone,

We wanted to migrate SAS 9.4M6 on prem deployed jobs to AWS Cloud environment. Kindly guide us on the migration steps.

Is that same import & export of .spk files which we do normally? OR any other special things / mapping needs to incorporate while migrating to AWS Cloud environment?

A bit more context would help.

But if your target is 9.4, yes, spk-files is the usual method.

If that's a migration to from SAS94M6 to Viya 4 then it's certainly not like from SAS9 to SAS9 - starting with that there is no metadata server nor SMC with Viya.

You've already asked about SAS® 9 Content Assessment earlier - that's your starting point. There are also some YouTube videos out there that might give you further guidance. 

You will certainly need same planning like target environment folder structure, security etc. before you jump into the actual migration execution.
