Decided that I want to learn SAS.
Downloaded free software ("base SAS").
Have been following tutorials, but they are all about data manipulation and basic plotting and printing.
Started wondering where the hell all the programming is.
Realized I need something called "SAS/IML".
Questions:
What is it?
How do I get it?
For a quick overview, see
SAS/IML and SAS/IML Studio | SAS Support (SAS 9) and
Interactive Matrix Programming With SAS IML Software | SAS (SAS Viya)
For a Getting Started tutorial, see
144-2013: Getting Started with the SAS/IML® Language
You'll have to explain what "downloaded free software" means. If it means that you are using SAS On-Demand software
SAS OnDemand for Academics | SAS
then you already have access to SAS/IMl.
