Hey all... I am trying to learn SAS and HCUP simultaneously. I've been able to load the NIS 2016 data from HCUP in to SAS-UE, but now I'm lost. HCUP's site doesn't give clear information on ANYTHING, especially how to use CCR with NIS and get information.

Maybe someone here has used the software in this manner and could guide me along?

This is the most helpful bit of information I've been able to find, and it either doesn't help at all or it's going WAY over my head:
https://www.hcup-us.ahrq.gov/db/state/CCR_NIS_UserGuide_2001-2016.pdf

It keeps referencing linking the data, but how? I assume there's programming for that process, but without knowing where to start looking I'm just chasing this question in circles on my own.

1) Sorry to be so new
2) I promise I'm looking elsewhere before asking, and while asking. I've been at this for almost a week now and just finally got the **bleep** data loaded in to the right version of SAS!

SO MANY THANK YOUS in advance.
