This session delved into the thrilling world of the SAS Hackathon. It provided invaluable insights from past use cases, results from successful teams and made a case to participate in 2024 – like gaining access to the state-of-the-art SAS® Viya® in the cloud and the guidance of a seasoned SAS mentor. In its latest iteration in 2023, the SAS Hackathon brought together a diverse mix of over 1,400 enthusiasts from 75 countries, representing 140 organizations. We had a wide array of participants ranging from seasoned data scientists to business analysts, marketers, industry professionals and students. Our monthlong, all-digital hackathon stimulates minds, challenges teams across multiple industries to deploy technology, and addresses real-world business and humanitarian problems. Teams bring their use cases and data, sparking curiosity and innovation. By leveraging AI in the cloud, they are empowered to transform data into actionable insights that enhance decision making and improve lives. The SAS Hackathon is not merely a competition; it's about a global community coming together to effect change. All participants are winners, gaining knowledge, experience and lasting connections that continue to serve their organizations and communities well into the future.
