Configuring Holdout Control Groups
The latest version of SAS Customer Intelligence 360 includes the ability to configure holdout control groups. Members of a holdout control group do not receive an offer. Use this feature to compare the actions of the holdout control group that did not receive any offer with the actions of the groups that did receive offers. For example, you can designate a portion of the population under the age of 40 to receive no offer while the other members of the segment receive a 20 percent discount.

In addition, you can select specific criteria to create a holdout control group that is demographically similar to the segment population. For example, if 70 percent of the segment population owns their primary residence and 30 percent rents their primary residence, you can select Owns or Rents as a criterion to ensure that your holdout control group consists of a similar mix of members.

You can configure holdout control group settings for a business context, a direct marketing task, and a test within the task.

(Available in SAS 360 Engage: Direct)

Email Layout Manager Indicates Which Elements Have Display Conditions
In release 22.10, the Layout Manager for email tasks includes an icon to show which elements have display conditions defined. This feature enables you to design emails more efficiently by working with display conditions from the main view of the Layout Manager.

For example, an image in your email content has conditions defined so that the image displays only when customers have children. The display conditions might look like this example:

2210_email_visual_indicator_conditions.tif.generated.png

In the Layout Manager, the image now includes the 2210_Display_Conditions.PNG icon in the top left corner of the element to indicate that display conditions are defined:

You can hover over 2210_Display_Conditions.PNG to show a menu with more options:

  • View the display conditions
  • Edit the display conditions
  • Delete the display conditions

Copy Item API Available
Note: This feature is being released incrementally and might not be available for your tenant yet. Contact your SAS representative if you have questions about this feature’s availability.

The latest version of SAS Customer Intelligence 360 includes the first phase of the Copy Item API for SAS Customer Intelligence 360.

The REST API enables you to package an item from one tenant or environment and copy the item to another tenant (for example, from your test tenant to your production tenant).

You can copy the following items between tenants:

  • Calculated data items
  • Creatives
  • Export templates
  • Messages
  • On-premises segment maps

For example, you can build, test, and adjust a new on-premises segment map on your test tenant. After the item is tested and ready for production, you can use this REST API to package the segment map and its dependencies from the test tenant and copy the segment map to the production tenant.

Note: The ability to copy direct marketing tasks will be included in a future update of this REST API.
