Hello everyone,

A user can't connect to SAS Guide. To fix the issue, they deleted their account in SAS Management Console and created a new account with the same login using LDAP authentication.

Now, the user can log in to SAS Guide's first step (connect using a profile) which requires a connection to the metadata server. but they still can't connect to SASApp.

In the logs of the compute server object spawner we found this message:

sas - New client connection (1613) rejected from server port 8591 for user a.username. Peer IP address and port: [::ffff:xx.xx.xx.xx]:56457 for APPNAME=SAS Enterprise Guide.

What can we do to resolve this problem?

What OS does your SAS App server run on? If it is Windows then SAS users need the logon as batch job credential. On other OSs the ability to logon to the SAS App server is necessary. We may wish to open a Tech Support as more diagnosing imay be required.

The SASApp server runs on Linux

I suggest you compare server access permissions between the non-working user account and ones that do work.

I compared their permissions and they are the same

Hello @Mahis
Your error indicates that object spawner is not able to authenticate the user. Suggest you approach SAS Tech Support for assistance.
